2. Vibration Damping and Noise Reduction
Utilizes its flexibility to isolate and absorb mechanical vibrations and fluid pulsations originating from equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors) or pipelines, thereby protecting sensitive instruments and equipment.
3. Sealing and Isolation
Acts as a dynamic sealing element, isolating two different environments while still allowing the transmission of mechanical motion. For example, in mechanical seals, it prevents the process medium from leaking into the atmosphere.
Prevents contaminants such as dust and moisture from entering the interior of precision machinery.
4. Flexible Connection
Provides a flexible conduit for fluids or vacuum between two components where relative motion or misalignment exists. Examples include automotive exhaust systems and vacuum robot arms.
